Clay Animation Workshops
Toonworld – Sydney
Toonworld’s vision is simple, they encourage, educate and entertain kids through fun and interactivity creative workshops, that improves their literacy and to bolster their confidence and creativity.
In the two hour sessions, children will learn simple tips how to animate effectively. Each child will get to construct their own cool clay characters that they can take home and make their own movies.
Grose River Park
A terrific two hours soaring through the treetops on flying foxes on a series of challenges high in the trees. Trees Adventure is an exhilarating experience whether you are finding an activity for primary, secondary or UNI students. All students over 4 years old are welcome.
The Park is located in Yarramundi near Richmond with over 110 challenges and 20 flying foxes. For the more adventurous and older students there is the option of Australia’s first cliff-edge experience, then you can move to the Nowra site, which over 80 challenges and 12 flying foxes including an airborne skateboard.
Australian Nuclear Science and Technology
Students have the opportunity to visit Australia’s only multi-purpose reactor, the Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering and the Centre for Accelerator Science.
Students will also get the opportunity to see some of Australia’s leading scientists work who are involved with major issues concerning human health, and understanding our environment.
The ANTSO website also provides a number of syllabus-focused educational resources involving workbooks, fact sheets, educational videos and games.
Calmsley hill was formerly called Fairfield City Farm and provides a richly diverse learning environment for Primary & High School students.
It strives to be a sustainable site, and Calmsley has progressively developed programs for all age groups on the key elements of sustainability, water, waste, land and energy.
Starting with Infants there is a Down on the Farm tour, for Primary age there is: Endangered and Unique, Sustainable Food and Big Sydney.
And finally High School geography students can get hands on field work with their friends who study Science can also work on fieldwork of stages 5 & 6.
